Position: Senior Volunteer Development Manager (maternity cover)
Reporting to: Director of Services
Staff responsibility: Volunteer Officer (Wales)

Salary: £39,600 pro rata (0.6 FTE) plus London weighting if applicable
Duration: Fixed term – maternity cover up to 12 months
Location: Home based with the expectation that the postholder will be required to travel to London and other UK locations approximately once a month (with overnight stays) for which reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed, in line with our expenses policy

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity. We're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.

We're looking for a Senior Volunteer Development Manager to join our brilliant, dedicated and ambitious staff team. We're building for the future and want our volunteering programme and experience to reach new heights as we move towards our ambitious charity strategy, which will be reliant on the support of our UK wide volunteers. You'll implement our volunteering strategy across the organisation, continue to improve our volunteering journey and the resources available to volunteers and promote a positive volunteering ethos and support role managers and teams with their volunteers. You'll also support with the development of new volunteer roles to build a network of volunteers across the UK, promoting best practice and a first class volunteer experience.
