Support our Services Team
There are a number of ways you can get involved in helping us to deliver our services and awareness raising activity.
Whether you lend us your organisational skills to help us organise our online awareness talks or help us organise or deliver one of our online patient support events, you'll be making a real difference to people affected by bowel cancer.
Our current opportunities
Bowel cancer awareness volunteer, Wales (home based – virtual over Zoom or face to face in your local community)
It’s important that information and advice about bowel cancer signs and symptoms and how we can help as a charity is as visible and accessible as possible. This flexible opportunity enables you as a volunteer to represent us both nationally and at a local level, by distributing our publications within your local area and/or delivering presentations (standardised template created by us) either virtually over Zoom or to your local community (i.e. community groups and workplaces). There may also be opportunities to support at awareness stands and events.
The volunteer for this role must have (or have previously had) bowel cancer or been affected (friends/family). We encourage volunteers to add their own experience of bowel cancer when delivering these talks. We believe that people with experience of bowel cancer, either personally or through a family member or friend, are uniquely equipped to raise awareness and deliver these talks.

Chat Together Facilitator, UK wide (home based)
This role involves hosting a Chat Together group, weekly for six weeks at a time over Zoom, with a small group of others in a friendly and supportive environment.
Chat Together is a new way for bowel cancer patients to meet and connect online. It's a welcoming, informal way for those affected by bowel cancer to meet new people with similar experiences.
The volunteer for this role must be living with stage 4 bowel cancer.
