2023 Annual Report
We're delighted to share that in 2023, we achieved new heights. Not only did we provide more support than ever before to people affected by bowel cancer, but we fundraised over £7 million for the first time in our history.
In 2023, thanks to your support, we were able to...
- provide over five million moments of support to people affected by bowel cancer
- roll our nationwide programme of roadshows with events in 10 key locations
- fund new research grants totalling more than £122,000
- run education events attended by more than 800 healthcare professionals
We could do this because you, our incredible supporters ...
- helped to raise over £7 million for the first time in our history
- gave over 5,000 hours of your time delivering 130 volunteering roles
We wouldn’t exist without your support. Everything you do makes a difference – from fundraising, donating and volunteering, to raising awareness, helping us deliver services and sharing personal stories. Thank you all.

Our five year strategy: 'On a Mission'
In July 2023 we launched our new five-year strategy, 'On a Mission'. This set out how we'll continue to work relentlessly towards our vision of a future where nobody dies from bowel cancer.
There are four goals that form the building blocks of our strategy:
- Goal one: Increase awareness and understanding of bowel cancer
- Goal two: Remove the barriers to people being diagnosed quickly and at the earliest possible stage
- Goal three: Get the right treatment and care to every patient
- Goal four: Support people to cope better with bowel cancer
Read our strategy in full to find out more about these four main goals and how we're going going to acheive them.
This strategy will run for five years from January 2023 to December 2028. Each year, we'll report on progress and review the strategy to ensure it's still fit for purpose in an ever-changing world.
We'll work with our partners and the bowel cancer community to deliver our ambitious targets. We hope you'll join us as we work towards a future where nobody dies of bowel cancer.
