Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity. We're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.
We currently have around 70 staff based in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we're in a privileged position to be able to grow our staff team to deliver our ambitious new strategy, which we'll be launching in the spring. There are huge challenges facing bowel cancer patients across the UK, and our community needs us now more than ever. We're building a strong and united team to bring us closer to a world where nobody dies of bowel cancer.
We're looking for a Senior Finance Manager to lead and develop the charity's financial operations. We're building for the future and this role will be pivotal in ensuring we have the requisite financial environment to deliver on our new ambitious strategy and financial plans.
We're looking for someone with a broad knowledge base who can drive forward process improvement. You'll be an excellent communicator, with strong technical and analytical skills to delivery high quality financial accounting, reporting and business partnering activities. You'll be comfortable providing strategic financial support to ELT and SLT, whilst also proving hands on operational support to the Senior Finance Officer and Executive Assistant team.
If this sounds like you and you fit our person specification, you might be the person for us. In return, you'll join our brilliant team and finish each day knowing you've played a central role in supporting people affected by bowel cancer.
This is a broad role so we don't expect you to meet every criteria. If you have some of the skills but are interested in the role, we'd love to hear from you. We're keen to support people to develop and grow into the role and will give you the support you need.
