Position: Research Manager, full-time (35 hours) and permanent
Reporting to: Director of Research and External Affairs
Salary: £35,000 per annum (plus London weighting if applicable)
Location: Homebased across UK

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity. We're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.

We're looking for a fantastic new Research Manager to help us expand and develop our ambitious research activity. 

You'll be responsible for developing and managing every stage of our research programme, building new research partnerships and enabling people affected by bowel cancer to play an active part in research. You'll also line manage our Science Communications Officer and help them to create compelling science and research content.

With significant experience of research management within the charity sector, and a thorough understanding of the UK research funding environment, you'll have the skills to help develop and implement a research strategy and create research infrastructure from the ground up.

You'll understand the value of patient and public involvement and have strong networking and communication skills. Most importantly, you'll have the desire to succeed and to make a difference to the lives of everyone affected by bowel cancer.
