Position: Public Fundraising Officer
Reporting to: Community Fundraising Manager
Salary: £25,700 per annum plus London weighting if applicable
Location: London hybrid

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity. We're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care. We employ around 70 staff based in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, we're in a privileged position to be able to grow our staff team to deliver our ambitious new strategy. There are huge challenges facing bowel cancer patients across the UK, and our community needs us now more than ever. We're building a strong and united team to bring us closer to a world where nobody dies of bowel cancer.

We're looking for a Public Fundraising Officer to work in our Community Fundraising team. You'll be genuinely excited to work in community fundraising, in a reactive environment that has our bowel cancer community at the heart of everything we do.

The Public Fundraising Officer role will help deliver identified areas of growth, such as Do-It-Yourself and celebration fundraising (mainly through Facebook). They'll also work with the Community Fundraising Manager to develop new income lines, such as school fundraising, in-person tin collections and knitting.

You'll help develop stewardship and communications journeys, ensuring messaging is integrated, engaging and on trend. You'll work with the Community Fundraising Manager on reviewing data and using insight to make changes to improve projects, average income and ways of engaging and retaining supporters.
