Position: Press Manager (maternity cover) – fixed term contract until June 2022
Reporting to: Head of Marketing and Communications
Salary: £36,000 per annum pro rata
Location: Edinburgh House, 170 Kennington Lane, London, SE11 5DP (currently home based)
Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity. We're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.
We're looking for an experienced Press Manager to run the organisation's media relations and PR activity alongside engaging with our celebrity supporters, patrons and supporters. A proactive, creative and enthusiastic team player, you'll hold a pivotal role in our busy marketing and communications team.
You'll work across the organisation to secure coverage of activities ranging from our wonderful case studies, research breakthroughs and influencing wins, right through to ensuring our support services and fundraising opportunities reach as many people as possible.
