Position: Health Professional Engagement Officer
Reporting to: Health Professional Education and Engagement Manager
Salary: £25,700 per annum plus London weighting if applicable
Location: Remote (or London hybrid)
Contract: Fixed term, three years
Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity. We're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.
We currently have around 70 staff based in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we're in a privileged position to be able to grow our staff team to deliver our ambitious new strategy, which we'll be launching in the spring. There are huge challenges facing bowel cancer patients across the UK, and our community needs us now more than ever. We're building a strong and united team to bring us closer to a world where nobody dies of bowel cancer.
A key focus of our strategy is to reach and engage with as many people as possible, affected by and at risk of bowel cancer, by embedding our information and support services within NHS diagnostic, treatment, and care pathways. As Health Professional Engagement Officer you'll play a central role in helping us achieve this. With a focus on developing networks in primary care and developing existing relationships with CNS' and secondary care health professionals. You'll lead on organising and delivery of external engagement and education opportunities and support virtual and face to face education events, requiring regular travel to London and around the UK.
