Bowel Cancer UK is the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We are determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.
We are looking for an Events Officer to join our fundraising team, reporting to our Events Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering an exciting and varied events programme, all whilst raising vital income for the charity.
You will join a growing and dynamic team based in our London office in Kennington and will act as the main point of contact for all of our fantastic events fundraisers. You will have the opportunity to plan and deliver a range of runs, treks and challenges and will work alongside the Senior Events Officers and Events Manager on the plans and budgets for events whilst making sure that you are up to date with the latest trends in the industry to help inform decision-making.
Ideally you will already have at least one years’ solid and demonstrable experience within event fundraising with a particular focus on runs, treks and challenges. You will also have excellent administrative skills including experience of using a database. As the key contact for events fundraisers you will have strong communication skills and the confidence to represent the charity in your day to day work and at events.
We are unashamedly ambitious and determined to stop this disease for good. If you share our determination and are ready for the challenge of an exciting role within the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity, we very much want to hear from you.
