Boult Wade Tennant LLP raises over £10,000 to help stop people dying of bowel cancer

A huge thank you to Boult Wade Tennant LLP for their generosity
We were delighted when intellectual property firm Boult Wade Tennant LLP selected us as one of their Charity of the Year partners last year. Throughout 2019 and early 2020 teams across all of firm’s offices took part in a variety of fundraising activities and raised further awareness of bowel cancer.
Marketing Executive at Boult Wade Tennant LLP, Vanisha Mistry, said: “Bowel Cancer UK was nominated by our staff as one of the firm’s annual chosen charity. We have worked closely with them to raise as much awareness as possible about the disease within the organisation.
“During the year we also held fundraisers to support Bowel Cancer UK and took part in their Step Up for 30 challenge. It was really hard but it was worth it for such a great cause. We all gave it 110%!”
Stepping up to raise funds for everyone affected by bowel cancer
In 2019, teams from Boult Wade Tennant LLP’s London, Cambridge and Reading offices took part in our Step Up for 30 event. Across the 30 days of June they challenged themselves to do 30 minutes of exercise every day through individual challenges and team activities.
With phenomenal dedication and enthusiasm, staff took part in a range of activities including football, volleyball, running, and group exercises in the local park, raising funds from the generous sponsorship from their colleagues. The Equity Partners of the firm also matched these donations. With over £10,400 raised, this was a truly incredible achievement.
Beyond fundraising
We were thrilled to have the opportunity to also raise vital awareness of bowel cancer. Our health awareness volunteers were welcomed into Boult Wade Tennant LLP’s offices to give talks to staff on bowel cancer awareness and the importance of taking part in the bowel screening test. The talks were well received by staff, some of whom had personal experience of the disease within their families.
