We join Waitrose Community Matters for second time

We’re delighted to announce we’ll once again be taking part in the Waitrose Community Matters Online Initiative, launching today.

The initiative, which we also joined in 2015, allows Waitrose online shoppers to vote for their chosen charity from 1 September to 30 November 2018. Waitrose will then divide £25,000 between three charities in proportion to the number of customer votes.

As part of the tenth anniversary of Waitrose Community Matters, which has donated around £35 million to charities since 2008, we were invited to return to the online scheme as one of three national charities receiving the most customer votes previously.

Natasha Kashyap, Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships at Bowel Cancer UK, said: “We’re thrilled to be invited back to join Community Matters and we’re very grateful to Waitrose and their customers for voting for us in the past. It’s because of this fantastic support that we’re able to continue our work of saving lives and improving the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer.”
