Step up for 30 shortlisted for national fundraising award!
Tuesday 12 March 2019
We're delighted to announce that one of our fundraising challenges, Step up for 30, is shortlisted for the 'Most Innovative Fundraising Event' category at the Charity Event Awards 2019.
The award is given to the charity that demonstrates creativity and effectiveness, feedback from supporters and measureable outcomes and successes for their fundraising campaign. The winner will be announced on Friday 17 May in London.
Step up for 30 is really simple, just get sponsored to do 30 minutes of physical activity every day for 30 days in June. We launched the fundraiser in 2017, since then hundreds of people have taken part raising over £70,000 to help stop people dying of bowel cancer by funding vital services and lifesaving research.
Sebastian Jenkins, Head of Public Fundraising, said: "We are thrilled to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. This recognition celebrates the huge amount of work we do, as well our inspirational supporters, to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer."
