Our new partner Enable Law will support bowel cancer patients by funding our Ask the Nurse service
Tuesday 10 September 2024
We’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with Enable Law who are generously donating £5,000 to our Ask the Nurse service.
The partnership will help us continue to provide vital support and information to those affected by bowel cancer.
Enable Law is a personal injury firm which supports people whose lives have been changed by injuries caused by accidents and negligence. Through their work the firm recognises the importance of providing patients and loved ones with safe spaces to ask medical professionals questions. For that reason, the firm is supporting our Ask the Nurse service.
This is a free service for anyone to use. If you have questions about bowel cancer you can email them to our friendly, experienced colorectal nurses who will get back to you within two working days.
Luke Squires, Director of Fundraising at Bowel Cancer UK, said: “It’s fantastic to have an organisation like our new partner, Enable Law, recognise the importance of our Ask the Nurse service.
“Every 12 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with bowel cancer, making it the country’s fourth most common cancer. With Enable Law’s kind donation of £5,000 we can continue to provide expert information and support people to cope better with bowel cancer.”
Ceri-Ann Taylor, Legal Director at Enable Law, said: “In my work supporting cancer patients, I see services like Bowel Cancer UK's Ask the Nurse, where people can speak to specialist colorectal nurses and have their questions answered, as invaluable.
“Being diagnosed with bowel cancer is stressful and people often come out of appointments realising there was a question they forgot to ask. Bowel Cancer's UK's nurses give people time, listen to them, address their concerns and can help them through a difficult time.
“No one has to go through this experience alone or in the dark, and at Enable Law we want people to have the best support. We are grateful for the work of Bowel Cancer UK and proud to contribute to such an amazing initiative.”
