Nominations are open for the Gary Logue Colorectal Cancer Nurse Awards
We're inviting you to nominate an outstanding colorectal cancer nurse for the eighth annual Gary Logue Colorectal Cancer Nurse Awards in September.
The awards will be presented at the virtual National Colorectal Cancer Nurses Network (NCCNN) Annual Education Event on 14 September 2022.
We're welcoming nominations from people who are cared for by, or working with, an exceptional colorectal cancer nurse. The winners of both the patient nominated and colleague nominated award will each receive £300 towards their professional development.
The awards were set up in memory of Gary Logue, who worked as a nurse for the charity and passed away in 2014, in honour of the contribution he made during his career.
Lauren McCrisken, winner of the 2021 award, says: “I was surprised to be nominated for this award, let alone win it, which is an absolute honour. It is incredibly special that my nomination came from a patient who took the time to acknowledge the work we do whilst dealing with a cancer diagnosis.
“It is such a pleasure to know that the work we do has a positive impact on patients’ lives, but I couldn’t do the work I do without the support of the other nurses in the team.”
Nominations close on Wednesday 10 August 2022
