Come to our bowel cancer community support event in Belfast
Friday 1 September 2023
We’re holding a free community support event for people affected by bowel cancer, including family and friends, in Belfast. Join us on Saturday 14 October to hear from expert speakers and meet others with similar experiences.
Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in Northern Ireland with more than 1,200 people diagnosed every year.
Throughout the day you'll have the chance to connect with others who are going through similar experiences. You'll also learn more about bowel cancer through expert-led information and support sessions. We'll be exploring topics such as: looking after your emotional wellbeing, living well with a stoma, eating well, keeping active and getting back to exercise.
Our ‘Living well with bowel cancer’ event is designed to help you feel better able to cope with bowel cancer and find out how we can support you and your loved ones through diagnosis and treatment.
Catherine Winsor, Director of Services and Support at Bowel Cancer UK, says: “This is a fantastic opportunity for those affected by bowel cancer to learn more about living well with the disease and the support services provided by the charity. We’d love for you to join us on Saturday 14 October and be welcomed into our wonderful community. See you there!”
Registration for the event closes on Monday 2 October.
