On Wednesday 17 May 2023 we held a virtual education event on supporting younger colorectal cancer patients. You can find out the details below.

Event details

  • Who's it for: all colorectal clinical nurse specialists, endoscopists and specialist screening practitioners across the UK
  • Where: online via Zoom

 

This virtual education event was been developed to provide you with an overview of how to support teenagers and young adults with colorectal cancer. The speakers covered: 

  • issues around fertility, work and relationships
  • challenges teenagers and young adults may face after treatment
  • specialised units for younger people and the support they provide

About the speaker

Beth McCann, Senior Specialist Nurse for Teenagers and Young Adults with Cancer, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Beth has been working as a specialist nurse for young people with cancer for the last 21 years mostly in London and more recently at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Beth's particular interests are around fertility and sexual health information for young people having treatment for cancer.
