We’re looking for Trustees to join our exceptional Board, to work with our outstanding Senior Leadership Team to help deliver step change benefits to those affected by bowel cancer.
As a Trustee, you’ll join an organisation with a vibrant, dynamic and ‘can-do’ culture. You’ll help the charity operate to the highest standards, raise more money, invest in research and support services, influence national policy and make a meaningful and impactful contribution to the lives of those affected by bowel cancer. We must make early diagnosis a reality for everyone with bowel cancer – will you help us to achieve it?
We'd love to hear from you if you have experience in any of the following areas:
- Finance - Extensive experience of financial leadership. You’ll have a track record of financial oversight and management. This Trustee will play a key role on the Finance and Resources Committee, supporting the board in spotting strategic, operational and financial risks and opportunities, and in developing our plans and monitoring progress against them.
- Fundraising - A strong and robust high value network and experience of brokering and accessing relationships to increase income and reach for the charity through philanthropic individuals and organisations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who shares our vision and is driven by the scale of our challenge.
- Legal - Legal expertise to work closely with the Board to provide knowledge, advice, scrutiny and to support strong governance. You'll have strategic vision and expertise in charity law, commercial law or employment law.
We welcome those who share our values, and we encourage candidates who can help increase the diversity of the Board.
Across each of these roles, we’re looking for Trustees who:
- share our passion for our mission and the work we do
- would bring new and challenging perspectives to our charity
- have experience of building inclusive and diverse cultures within an organisation
- could act as an ambassador for our charity and our community
