Position: Strategic Partnerships Manager
Reporting to: Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy
Salary: £35,000 FTE per year (London weighting if applicable)
Location: Home based across UK

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity. We're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.

Following the highly successful launch of our #GetOnARoll campaign to raise awareness of bowel cancer signs and symptoms, we're looking for an outstanding Strategic Partnerships Manager to join our collaborative and committed Partnerships and Philanthropy team.

This is a truly unique and exciting opportunity for someone to manage and grow our strategic partnerships, including working with nearly all of the UK's leading supermarkets and several key FMCG household consumer brands.

Right now, almost half of adults in the UK can't name a single symptom of bowel cancer, despite it being the fourth most common cancer. Knowing the symptoms, and acting on them, means that bowel cancer can be diagnosed earlier when it's more treatable and curable. But fewer than 40% of people are diagnosed at the earliest stages. This campaign, and the partnerships we're building, can and will change this and ultimately save more lives.

Working alongside the Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy you'll create and deliver an inspiring stewardship journey for all #GetOnARoll partners. You'll also collaborate across the charity and our networks to develop a pipeline of long-term strategic partnerships that align with the overarching fundraising priorities of the charity.

You'll lead on partnership renewal negotiations to retain and grow our partnerships, and develop compelling bids, proposals, and pitches that will secure significant funding partnerships.

We're looking for an experienced strategic partnerships manager with a proven track record of working in a target driven and relationship-led fundraising environment.

You'll enjoy working in a fast-paced team, be good at spotting and developing partnership opportunities, and be able to think creatively about commercial proposals. You'll be keen to build relationships with a diverse range of corporates who are inspired to support our unique work.

You'll be a lateral thinker, creative and entrepreneurial by nature with strong business acumen and understand the motivations of potential funders and partners.

We're looking for a confident and persuasive fundraiser with strong project management skills, the ability to influence, and who is a brilliant relationship-builder. Someone who is truly motivated by the cause and who wants to take their partnerships to the next level.

If you'd like to work with a collaborative and supportive team and have the necessary drive and experience, we would love to hear from you.
