Position: Senior Community Fundraising Officer
Reporting to: Community Fundraising Manager
Salary: £31,500 plus London weighting if applicable
Location: Flexible location but with travel as necessary to the London office
Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity. We're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.
We currently have around 70 staff based in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we're in a privileged position to be able to grow our staff team to deliver our ambitious new strategy, which we launched in July. There are huge challenges facing bowel cancer patients across the UK, and our community needs us now more than ever. We're building a strong and united team to bring us closer to a world where nobody dies of bowel cancer.
We're looking for an experienced, forward-thinking Senior Community Fundraising Officer, who'll bring new ideas, skills and knowledge to the team. You'll be genuinely excited to work in community fundraising, in a reactive environment that has our bowel cancer community at the heart of everything we do.
The Senior Community Fundraising Officer is responsible for the development and delivery of identified areas of growth, such as our schools' fundraising initiative, high value fundraising, a new DIY golf initiative and COTY golf clubs. You'll plan how we should scale-up these activities, analysing data to provide evidence for your decisions, and be responsible for the budget for each area of work.
The role will also provide support to the Community Fundraising Officer with our successful do-it-yourself fundraising events. You'll use your knowledge and innovation skills to develop stewardship and communications journeys, ensuring messaging is integrated, engaging and on trend.
