Salary: £40,000 per annum (London weighting included)
Location: London hybrid
Terms and condidtions: 12 months fixed term contract (maternity cover)

Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity. We're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care. We currently have around 70 staff based in England, Wales Scotland and Northern Ireland. 

There are huge challenges facing bowel cancer patients across the UK, and our community needs us now more than ever. We’re building a strong and united team to bring us closer to a future where nobody dies of bowel cancer.

We have an exciting opportunity in our growing team as our Policy and Influencing Manager. You’ll lead a team and be responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of policy positions, campaigns and public affairs activity in order to influence public policy and legislation on health services which impact the lives of people affected by bowel cancer in England. We’re looking for someone with a passion for, and experience in, health policy and influencing, with an ability to cut through it to identify key issues and find effective solutions. As well as the confidence and personal authority to inspire your team and work at a senior level with external organisations, particularly within government departments, parliament and NHS bodies to build strong relationships.
