Position: Philanthropy Officer
Reporting to: Philanthropy Manager
Salary: £28,000 per annum (including London weighting)
Location: Hybrid. Flexible location with the need to travel into our London hub once a week
Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity. We're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.
We're looking for a Philanthropy Officer to join our collaborative and committed Partnerships and Philanthropy team. You'll raise money from trusts and foundations, by writing bids and building strong relationships, helping to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer.
Right now, public awareness of bowel cancer is growing rapidly, making it an exciting time to join us. If you're interested in playing a part in helping us reach even more people, and motivated to improve the lives of bowel cancer patients, we want to hear from you.
If you're proactive and enthusiastic with excellent relationship building and writing skills this could be the job for you. This role is suitable for anyone with trust fundraising experience but could also be a fantastic stepping-stone for someone who is committed to the charity's aims and is looking to move into the fundraising world. As Philanthropy Officer you'll be responsible for managing a mix of small warm and new relationships, ensuring we meet our income target and continue to be there for anyone affected by bowel cancer.
