Position: Philanthropy Manager (maternity cover)
Reporting to: Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy
Salary: £37,500 pro rata (plus London weighting if applicable)
Location: Flexible (home-based and London office: Unit 202, Edinburgh House, 170 Kennington Lane, London, SE11 5DP)
Terms and conditions: 12 month fixed-term contract (maternity cover). Part-time, four days per week (28 hours)
Preferred start date: Monday 7 November 2022
Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity. We're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.
We're looking for a Philanthropy Manager to join our collaborative and committed Partnerships and Philanthropy team. You'll lead on securing income from trusts and foundations, providing a high-quality, inspiring supporter experience for our existing funders. The successful candidate will line manage two motivated fundraisers – one Philanthropy Officer and one Senior Philanthropy Officer. You'll also have the exciting opportunity to develop a new statutory funding strategy to help diversify our income streams.
Right now, public awareness of bowel cancer is growing rapidly, making it an important time to join our team. If you're a motivated and passionate fundraiser, with experience in trust and statutory fundraising this is the role for you. You can help us raise the funds we need to meet the pressing needs of everyone affected by bowel cancer and get one step closer to our vision – a world where no-one dies of the disease.
