Bowel Cancer UK and Beating Bowel Cancer is the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We are determined to save lives, improve the quality of life and support all those affected by bowel cancer. We enable and fund research, provide information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all.
As the Philanthropy and Partnerships Officer you will be working in a successful and ambitious team whose remit is to secure income from Trusts & Foundations, Corporates, Major Donors and Statutory sources. This role is pivotal to the success of the team in meeting ambitious income targets and working towards our goal of no-one dying from bowel cancer by 2050.
The primary responsibilities of the post-holder will be to:
- carry out Trust, Corporate and Major donor prospect research and qualification
- secure income for the charity from these income streams
- provide administrative support to the team
With experience in an income generation role, you will have evidence of meeting challenging income targets. You will also have an understanding of business development and/or prospect cultivation in order to implement prospect research, identification and cultivation plans.
Having recently merged, this is an extremely exciting time for the organisation and we are looking for an ambitious person who is keen to learn and make the most of all the opportunities that are available to the charity to increase its income and impact.
