Position: Media and PR Manager
Reporting to: Head of Marketing and Communications
Salary: £37,200 per annum plus London weighting if applicable
Location: London hybrid or home based
Terms and conditions: Fixed term maternity cover to March 2025. Full time, 35 hours a week. Open to negotiation on flexible and part-time working patterns

We’re the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We’re determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care. We employ around 90 staff based in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The Media and PR Manager is a key role within the busy Marketing and Communications Team leading and managing our media relations and PR, celebrity and patron management and case studies for media use. You’ll lead on strategic media partnerships and opportunities, proposing and pitching stories to secure us media coverage for our priority messages. You’ll help us reshape and reinvigorate our engagement with celebrities, patrons and high profile supporters through our new ambassador strategy. You’ll also line manage a Media and Communications Officer to ensure the effective day-to-day running of the press office.
