Surgery
Surgery is the most common treatment for bowel cancer. You might have surgery together with radiotherapy or chemotherapy. This may be done to make the cancer easier to remove or if there is a risk of the cancer coming back.
Your healthcare team will help you decide on the best treatment for you. Surgery might not be recommended to you if you're unfit for the operation or if you have advanced cancer that can't be removed by surgery.
