Health Promotion

Bowel Cancer UK's health promotion activities are at the heart of what we do.

Our health promotion work involves raising awareness of bowel cancer - its symptoms, risks and prevention. We work with schools, community groups and workplaces throughout the UK to improve public knowledge of bowel health messages.

The aims of our awareness campaigns are to:

  • Promote healthy living
  • Provide information on the symptoms of bowel cancer and how to reduce your risk
  • Encourage participation in bowel cancer screening programmes
  • Increase people's confidence in talking about bowel health

We have several years' experience in running events including:

  • National Lottery-funded public awareness campaigns
  • Employee awareness campaigns
  • National public awareness roadshows
