Support our Fundraising Team
Fundraising volunteers offer vital support to our team across the UK, from cheering on our amazing runners at events to marshalling our walks or attending cheque presentations.
Being a fundraising volunteer is fun and rewarding so please spare a couple of hours and join our team.
Our current opportunities
Fundraising Event Facebook Group Moderator Volunteer
Would you like an opportunity to support our fabulous fundraising team? Swim15 is a virtual swimming event where hundreds of our supporters sign up to swim 15km throughout June, whilst raising awareness and funds so we can help to stop bowel cancer.
To support the challenge, we have a private Facebook group for those taking part, where participants can post their progress, share their stories and support one another — it's a fantastic group! We strive to keep our online environment as positive and inclusive as possible and need a number of keen, independent volunteers to help monitor the group. This role is perfect for you if you are friendly, reliable and savvy on social media.
Please note: This is a short term role and we need people ideally for a few hours a week between the dates of: Tuesday 29 April 2025 – Monday 30 June 2025
No experience of bowel cancer is required as you will not be offering advice or support as part of this role.
Great North Run 2025 Event Day Volunteers
We're looking for volunteers to support our #TeamBowelCancerUK runners at the Great North Run on Sunday 7 September 2025. No experience needed, just a positive attitude and energy to support our runners. You’ll make their day memorable and have a great experience as part of a team.
We’ll be asking our volunteers at this event to commit to 4-6 hours, over one day.
We’re not yet accepting applications for this role. If you’d like to register your interest, we’ll let you know when our application process opens.
If you’d like to discuss this volunteer opportunity, please email events@bowelcanceruk.org.uk.
