Every year 44,000 people in the UK are diagnosed with bowel cancer. That’s why we are asking you to walk 44 miles with your dog this October to help make a difference.
Join us for our annual charity dog walking challenge and walk 44 miles (or a challenge of your choice) with your furry friend. As a thank you for your commitment we’ll send you a doggy bandana when you receive your first donation.

- Date: Complete your challenge anytime between Wednesday 1 and Friday 31 October 2025
- Location: Wherever you want! This is your challenge to complete it anytime, anywhere.
- Distance: 44 miles (but feel free to choose a challenge that suits you)
- Registration fee: Free to sign up
- Minimum sponsorship target: £150
- Why: By Walking this October, you'll be making a difference to the lives of around 268,000 people living with bowel cancer in the UK today. We’re asking you to fundraise to help support people with bowel cancer, now and in the future.

Walkies Together is a virtual dog walking challenge taking place in October. Help raise funds and awareness for those affected by bowel cancer by walking 44 miles with your dog.
You and your dog can participate wherever and whenever it suits you and complete the challenge at your own pace.
It’s free to sign up and you can register by joining our Walkies Together Facebook group, heading to our ‘featured post’ and clicking the sign-up link and filling out a short form.

- Doggy bandana after receiving your first donation, this can be any amount
- Raise £100 to receive a branded dog collar tag
- Raise £300 to receive a branded drawstring bag
No, you can walk whenever you like — during the school run, on your lunch break, or over the weekend, any dog walk counts.
When you fill out the form to sign up, it will automatically create a JustGiving or Facebook fundraising page. You’ll be able to then share this page with your family and friends and begin receiving donations.
You can also use our sponsor form and collect donations the old-fashioned way.
All items will be posted out to you 2nd class and tracked within 7-10 working days. If you haven’t received yours after 10 days, please email [email protected].
We ask everyone to raise a minimum of £150 to help us continue to fund our vital services and lifesaving research.
Don’t worry if you don’t reach your fundraising target, every contribution counts, and we sincerely appreciate any support you’ve provided.
