Vicky's story
In 2025, Vicky ran the Manchester Marathon for her mum and raised an unbelievable £950 to help support people across the UK with bowel cancer.
"I ran this for my mum who had bowel cancer, had a pan proctocolectomy, radio and chemotherapy and now lives with a stoma bag. I also work in the colorectal department at Salford royal, alongside the surgeons, nurses, acps and admin staff who deal with bowel cancer patients every day. It was a pleasure to do this for such a cause."

Rosie's story
Rosie ran the Kew Gardens Half Marathon in March 2025 and smashed her fundraising goal raising over £700 in memory of her dad.
"In 2019 my dad got diagnosed with bowel cancer that over the years unfortunately spread to his liver and then to his brain. He fought hard to overcome this awful disease however in May 2023 he lost his fight. We miss him everyday and wish he was still here with us to continue making memories, but we know he is now the brightest star watching over us all. I ran my first half marathon for him."
