10 year old Amber raised £150 in memory of her Nan
Amber Argent, 10 from Essex, shares with us why it was important for her to take part in Brew Together in memory of her Nan.
Now, this is my first blog as I'm only 10 years old.
I would like to tell you the story behind the stall I held on Friday 15 November 2019. It all started when I found out my beloved Nan had bowel cancer.
With her bright, bubbly personality you would've never guessed she had this diabolical disease. It was horrible.
Anyway, after a really long time full of courage and effort, she sadly passed away on 10 June 2019 (four days after my birthday).
I decided to hold a stall to raise money, as I know what it feels like to lose someone and I wanted to try and help stop this horrible illness. So with a couple of my friends I held a stall, we had tins of boiled sweets, rocky road, cookies, bags, brownies and much more!
During lunch, we ran out of everything! I am ever so proud of myself as we raised close to £150. Hopefully, this has given you an insight on what I've done and why.
Together we can beat bowel cancer.
