We’re partnering with Irwin Mitchell to help raise awareness of bowel cancer
Wednesday 14 August 2024
We’re thrilled to announce that Irwin Mitchell solicitors is partnering with us and supporting our National Colorectal Cancer Nurses Network (NCCNN) annual conference and study day.
The goal of the partnership is to help increase awareness and understanding of bowel cancer. The disease is the fourth most common cancer in the UK but the earlier it’s spotted, the more treatable it’s likely to be.
The national legal firm is generously providing support towards the NCCNN annual conference and study day, which is taking place this September. The day will bring together medical professionals including Colorectal Clinical Nurse specialists, Endoscopists and Specialist Screening Practitioners to help them learn more about bowel cancer and the importance of early diagnosis, provide networking opportunities, and ultimately work towards improving the care of people affected by bowel cancer.
Through their support Irwin Mitchell hope to empower and assist our healthcare professionals to push forward in providing the best possible care to the bowel cancer community.
Luke Squires, Director of Fundraising at Bowel Cancer UK, said: “We’re delighted to partner with Irwin Mitchell LLP to help raise awareness of bowel cancer, the UK’s fourth most common cancer.
“We’re also so grateful for their generous support of this year’s National Colorectal Cancer Nurses Network Annual Conference and Study Day. The day will bring together healthcare professions from across the country to discuss the future of bowel cancer treatment and care, and ultimately drive forward change to help save lives.”
Chris Hurlston, a specialist medical negligence lawyer at Irwin Mitchell who supports patients and families affected by bowel cancer, said: “Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK. That’s why at Irwin Mitchell, we are partnering with Bowel Cancer UK to help raise awareness of the importance of early diagnosis and to help support patients and their families affected by bowel cancer.”
