Step up for 30 is back!
Tuesday 5 May 2020
Registration is now open for our annual fundraising challenge Step up for 30. It’s really simple, just get active each day for 30 days throughout June and ask people to sponsor you.
In these uncertain times, exercise is a wonderful way to improve your mental and physical health. It’s known to boost your mood and energy levels and exercise can also provide routine and structure to your day.
There are lots of creative and easy ways you can get active throughout June without any equipment or leaving your home – for example follow a fitness video, have a walk around the garden or take part in PE with Joe Wicks.
Emily Diamond, British 200m and 400m runner, who is supporting the fundraising challenge, said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be supporting Bowel Cancer UK’s fundraising campaign Step up for 30. It’s a cause very close to my heart as my grandad passed away from bowel cancer two years ago.
It’s really simple to take part in Step up for 30, just get sponsored to do physical activity every day for 30 days during June. The money you raise will help fund vital services and lifesaving research ensuring Bowel Cancer UK can continue to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. What are you waiting for? Sign up today!”
Luke Squires, Director of Fundraising at Bowel Cancer UK says: “Whilst you’re getting fitter and feeling healthier by taking part in Step up for 30, you’ll also be raising money for us, the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity.
Every 15 minutes someone is diagnosed with bowel cancer. That’s over 42,000 people every year. But with the money raised through events and challenges like Step up for 30, we can continue to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer.”
