Bowel Cancer UK Prize Draw Terms and Conditions 2025

1. By entering the prize draw you are agreeing to these prize draw terms and conditions.

2. The prize draw is being run by Bowel Cancer UK. Registered charity number (England and Wales) 1071038 Scottish charity number SC040914. A company limited by guarantee number 3409832 (England and Wales).

Eligibility to enter 

3. The prize draw is open to all UK residents over the age of 18 except employees of Bowel Cancer UK, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw.

4. The prize draw is free to enter.

5. In entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. Bowel Cancer UK may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the prize draw or competition.

6. A maximum of one entry per individual is permitted.

7. Bowel Cancer UK reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize draw.

The draw

8. Two winners will be chosen by random draw performed by a computer process within one month of the prize draw ending.

9. The winners will be notified by email within seven days of being chosen. The winners must provide a UK postal address to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond to Bowel Cancer UK within 14 days of being notified, then the winner’s prizes will be forfeited, and Bowel Cancer UK will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.

10. The winners should allow 14 business days after providing a UK postal address for delivery of the prize.

11. This is a prize draw for two people to win a National Book Token worth £25.00 only.

12. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. Bowel Cancer UK reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond its control makes it necessary to do so.

13. Bowel Cancer UK’s use of particular brands as prizes does not imply any endorsement of such brands.

14. The decision of Bowel Cancer UK regarding any aspect of the prize draw or competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

15. The winner’s names and email will be used to send the voucher electronically within 60 days of the closing date of the prize draw.

16. Bowel Cancer UK reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so.

How to enter 

17. To enter you must be a member of the National Colorectal Cancer Nurses Network and have submitted an entry to one of the following surveys; Supporting Health Professionals in Northern Ireland, Supporting Health Professionals in Scotland or Supporting Health Professionals in Wales.

18. The prize draw opens at 12:00pm GMT on Thursday 14 August 2025 and closes at 00:59 GMT on Sunday 31 August 2025.

19. Entries received after the stated closing date will not be accepted.

20. The prize draw is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.

21. Bowel Cancer UK will not accept responsibility if contact details provided are incomplete or inaccurate.

22. Bowel Cancer UK will not accept responsibility for entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.

24. Bowel Cancer UK reserves the right to refuse entry or to refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.

Limitation of liability 

25. Insofar as is permitted by law, Bowel Cancer UK, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Bowel Cancer UK, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Data protection and publicity

26. By entering, you agree that any personal information provided by you with your entry may be held and used by Bowel Cancer UK or its agents and suppliers to administer the competition. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we manage your data. 

Governing law 

27. All our prize draws and competitions will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

28. Bowel Cancer UK reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions from time to time and any updated version will be effective as soon as it is published on the website.
