Bowel Cancer UK is the UK's leading bowel cancer charity. We're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care. We employ around 70 staff based in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

We're looking for a Stories Officer who will play an essential role in ensuring the real-life stories of those affected by bowel cancer are at the heart of our communications. You'll be a natural when it comes to sourcing engaging storytellers, interviewing with sensitivity, and writing up stories that support our work, whether that's moving people to support us, providing the patient voice when we call for political change or simply sharing experiences so other patients and their families know they aren't alone.

If this sounds like the role for you and you fit our person specification, we'd love to hear from you. We're looking to increase diversity in our team and welcome anyone who feels they may only have some of the skills outlined, but who would be willing to learn the other elements of the role fast. What's important isn't the education or opportunities you've had, but your willingness to seize the prospects ahead of you. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of people affected by bowel cancer.
