Cancer vaccine trials are being widely delivered throughout the country in many cancer types, including colorectal cancer. The Cancer Vaccine Launch Pad (CVLP) is a project to develop, and establish the feasibility, of patient referral and pathology handling pathways which may enable NHS patients with cancer to more easily access cancer vaccine trials.
The session, led by Dr Dan Muller, will briefly cover the science behind targeted and personalised cancer vaccines. It'll provide an overview of the CVLP, how patients are recruited, what the patient journey looks like and how colorectal clinical teams can support patients within the CVLP and the associated colorectal cancer vaccine trials.
The learning outcomes of this virtual education event is to enable learners to:
- Gain an understanding of what a cancer vaccine is
- Learn what the NHS Cancer Vaccine Launch Pad is
- Understand who is eligible for participation in the NHS Cancer Vaccine Launch Pad and associated colorectal cancer vaccine trial
- Understand the patient journey through the CVLP and associated colorectal cancer vaccine trial
- Understand how colorectal teams can support patients within the CVLP and associated colorectal cancer vaccine trial
You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with expert speaker Dr Dan Muller, and Max Shen, Programme Manager, NHS National Cancer Programme who'll be joining Dan during the Q&A session.
