England
The NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme in England (NHS BCSP) began in July 2006 and is currently screening all men and women between the ages of 60 and 69 every two years. People over the age of 70 can request a screening kit by calling a freephone helpline: 0800 707 6060.

In some areas in England screening has also rolled out to people up to 75 years old. To find out which areas, call the freephone helpline above.

Scotland
Scottish Bowel Screening began in June 2007 and includes all men and women between the ages of 50-74 every two years. For further information, please contact the Scottish Bowel Screening Helpline: 0845 270 0030 (Available Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm).

Bowel Screening Wales began in October 2008 and has rolled out nationally to 60-69 year olds.
