It's Bowel Cancer Awareness Month

Monday, April 02, 2012

Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer but it shouldn't be. It is in fact very treatable, particularly when diagnosed early. The big problem is that awareness is too low. Can you help us change that?

This Bowel Cancer Awareness Month we are focusing on raising awareness of the symptoms and encouraging people to go to their GP if they have concerns.

We'd love your help and here are some suggestions of how you could get involved:

Raising awareness of bowel cancer and Bowel Cancer UK

Support our events and fundraise for us

  • Take part in our Spring Step sponsored walk on 29th April in Edinburgh. For details or to register events@bowelcanceruk.org.uk
  • Have an amazing experience by volunteering for us at the London marathon and cheer on our team of incredible runners.
  • Hold your own coffee morning, bake sale or quiz for us. If you need ideas and tips on how to organise your own fundraising event, call the team on 0207 386 4006 or visit support us.

We can provide you with information and merchandise such as T-shirts and balloons to make your fundraising or awareness event a huge success. Call 0207 381 9711 or email events@bowelcanceruk.org.uk

We'd love to hear what you did in BCAM so don't forget to share your stories and photos with us. Email press@bowelcanceruk.org.uk

Thanks so much for supporting Bowel Cancer UK. We look forward to hearing all about your efforts.
