Swim Serpentine

Swim Serpentine is a brand new open water swimming event brought to you by the organisers of the Virgin Money London Marathon and Prudential RideLondon 100.

The event will be held in the Serpentine, Hyde Park, the venue that hosted the London 2012 Olympic Games open water swimming competition.

This one mile mass-participation event will see 6,000 swimmers take to the Serpentine to complete the challenge.

  • Distance: 1 mile (equivalent of 64 lengths in 25m pool)

You must be over 16 years old to take part in the event and feel comfortable swimming one mile in open water. All swimmers must wear a wet suit or use tow-float, these will both be available for hire on the day.

Secure a guaranteed place

Be part of the inaugural event and join our team, we ask all charity place swimmers to pay a £25 registration fee and to pledge to raise a minimum of £300 in sponsorship.

If you've secured your own place directly with the event organisers, we would love to welcome you to the team. There is no set fundraising target, we just ask that you raise what you can. Your support will help fund vital research to stop bowel cancer.
