Join #teambowelcancer for Ride Together this August
Even though RideLondon 100 has been cancelled in August, we’re still challenging you to cycle 100 miles either in a day or over the month to raise money and help bring us closer to a future where nobody dies from bowel cancer
You may have seen in the news that over a million people haven’t received a bowel cancer screening test due to coronavirus and so for many people their diagnosis will be delayed. We normally expect to raise £1.2million from sporting challenges – this year we expect this to fall to £450,000. The delay in diagnosis combined with the drop of income means that now more than ever, we need the support of #teambowelcancer.
Our vision is a future where nobody dies of bowel cancer but we can’t achieve this alone. It’s because of people like you that we can continue to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer.
You can support us in three ways:
- Cycling 100 miles on 16 August
- Cycling 100 miles over event weekend (15 and 16 August)
- Looking for more of a challenge? Why not see how many miles you can cycle in August?
Registration fee: None
Minimum sponsorship target: Raise as much as you can!
"2020 was going to be my year to get the London Classics medal, in the same year I turned 50 - but how wrong was I! Was I going to let all my hard work training be wasted? No, I’m going to cycle a 100 mile route to raise much-needed funds for Bowel Cancer UK, in memory of my beloved Dad. I feel excited, focused and have a purpose in this worrying time we’re living in." - Leah
