Fundraising events run by other organisations

Is my event going ahead?
Most events taking place before the end of May have been postponed by the organisers. Many have already announced new dates for the autumn but some are still looking into options. We’re in contact with all of our participants but you can also contact us at email@example.com or on 020 7940 1760 if you have any questions.
What about people who have sponsored me – how do they get a refund if my event doesn’t happen?
Please explain to people why you are no longer taking part in your event. If you have been sponsored through an online giving page such as JustGiving or Virgin Money Giving then we will have already received the money and each of your sponsors would need to contact us directly to request a refund. Our experience is that if someone is unable to take part in an event the majority of people will be happy for the charity to still benefit from their donation so please do encourage this! Of course if someone does wish to be refunded then we can arrange this.
Will my travel and hotel costs be refunded?
You will need to discuss this with your travel insurance company who will be able to advise you.
What other event could I take part in if I can’t do the new date for my current event?
Please give us a call on 020 7940 1769 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will talk through options with you. Alternatively, why not plan a route around your home town and still complete your miles on the date of your original event. Please ensure you are in line with current government guidance on social distancing if you choose to do this.
