After careful consideration and in line with current government guidance on social distancing, we’ve taken the difficult decision to cancel our Living with Bowel Cancer Support Days planned for Saturday 30 May in London and Saturday 6 June in Glasgow. We’ll continue to monitor the situation closely and will keep this page updated with news about these events.
If you were planning to attend, you might be interested in joining our online community. It’s a welcoming place for everyone affected by bowel cancer, including family and friends, to ask questions, read about people’s experiences and support each other. Can I bring someone to support me?
You’re very welcome to bring someone with you. Our Living with Bowel Cancer Support Days are for everyone affected by affected by bowel cancer and open to patients, family and friends. Please ask anyone attending to register their place too.
Are refreshments provided?
These conference style events will include lunch as well as tea, coffee and snacks throughout the day. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements on the registration form.
I don’t know anyone at the event, will there be others to talk to?
This is a welcoming environment and there’ll be plenty of other people to chat with about your experiences, many people attend our support events not knowing anyone else before the day. Our friendly trained staff and team of volunteers will be on hand to make you feel welcome and help connect you with others.
Do I have to pay anything?
No, our Living with Bowel Cancer Support Days are completely free of charge for people affected by bowel cancer. However, these events do cost us to put on, so please keep in touch about whether you’ll be coming nearer the time so we can plan numbers and offer your place to someone else if you can’t attend.
Is there an agenda?
Yes, each event has a carefully planned agenda of expert speakers, wellbeing workshops and peer support sessions. Agendas will be published on the event page nearer the time..
