Hours: Full time (35 hours/week)
Contract: Permanent
Location: Flexible but with travel as necessary to the London office

We're the UK's leading bowel cancer charity. We're determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care. We currently have around 90 staff based in England, Wales Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, we’re in a privileged position to be able to grow our staff team to deliver our ambitious strategy On a Mission. There are huge challenges facing bowel cancer patients across the UK, and our community needs us now more than ever. We’re building a strong and united team to bring us closer to a world where nobody dies of bowel cancer.

We’re looking for an experienced, forward thinking Senior Mass Participation Officer who’ll bring new ideas, skills and knowledge to the team. The Senior Mass Participation Officer will be responsible for building on the success of our bespoke events, ActiveApril, Walkies Together and Swim15. You’ll use your knowledge and skills to develop these events to attract more participants and income, as well as building robust stewardship and communication journeys, ensuring messaging is integrated, engaging and on trend. You’ll be genuinely excited to work in mass participation events in a reactive environment that has the bowel cancer community at the heart of everything we do.

The role is managed by the Community Fundraising Manager. Other key relationships are with the Events Manager, the wider Public Fundraising team, the Digital team, and the Content and Creative team.
