Project Assistant: BeWel
Applications close 9am Tuesday 23 April
Bowel Cancer UK is the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We are determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.
We are looking to appoint a part-time Project Assistant to co-ordinate our volunteer activity and provide information and support to volunteers and participants in the BeWEL programme. You will be responsible for the recording of all project activity and managing the project calendar. You will also ensure volunteers have all the necessary information and resources required for them to undertake their roles.
You will be IT literate, self-motivated and outgoing, a team player with excellent communication and people skills. The Project Assistant will report to the Head of Scotland but will also work closely with the Health Promotion and Training Officer and colleagues across the whole team. Most importantly, you will have an interest in, empathy towards and commitment to the work of Bowel Cancer UK and its values. This post is for 21 hours per week and is a fixed term of 9 months.
We are unashamedly ambitious and determined to stop this disease for good. If you share our determination and are ready for the challenge of a leadership role with the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity, we very much want to hear from you.
To apply, email your CV and a letter of not more than two pages explaining how you fit the person specification and why you would like this role to firstname.lastname@example.org.
