The Services Directorate is responsible for our patient and families’ information and support services, the provision of training and information for health and care professionals as well as health promotion and awareness activities in the community.
This is a unique and important leadership opportunity for someone with a clinical background who is also digitally active and aware, to lead the development and delivery of the charity’s support services for patients and their families. You will manage and mentor a staff team which will include nurse volunteers and staff as well as others focused on supporting our patient networks, including our forum. The team are responsible for responding to questions and queries from people who have themselves been diagnosed with bowel cancer or who have questions on behalf of someone else, and contributing to the development, update and dissemination of the charity’s patient information resources. Working closely with the Director of Services, you will also oversee the development of new support services as part of the charity’s overall services strategy.
We are unashamedly ambitious and determined to stop this disease for good. If you share our determination and are ready for the challenge of a leadership role with the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity, we very much want to hear from you.
