Beating bowel cancer together

Chief Executive

Applications close: Monday 14 October 12pm

This is an exciting opportunity to turbo charge a high-performing charity and help us to achieve our vision.

Our vision is a world where nobody dies of bowel cancer. Every year 16,000 people lose their lives to bowel cancer, making it the UK’s second biggest cancer killer. However, this is a disease which can be prevented, treated and cured and at Bowel Cancer UK we are determined to save lives.

As the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity, formed from the merger of Bowel Cancer UK and Beating Bowel Cancer, we support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, and campaign for early diagnosis. During 2018 we launched a new brand identity, generated record income, supported more patients and their families and successfully helped campaign for changes in Government policy. We are hugely proud of our achievements however, the need for the charity’s work is more acute than ever as the number of cases continue to grow.

We are now seeking an exceptional Chief Executive who is ambitious for the future. With a track record of driving and delivering strategic leadership, you will help chart the next phase of the charity’s influence, identifying and driving areas where a change in impact can be delivered. You will join an organisation with a vibrant, dynamic and entrepreneurial environment and work with a highly motivated and caring senior leadership team. As an experienced and inspirational leader, you will also be a strong ambassador for the charity to help us make a transformational impact and improve the quality of lives of the patients and families we support across the UK. Critical to your success will be your outstanding interpersonal skills and the drive and confidence to inspire, motivate and foster exceptional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
