Mini charity rally to Turin

Wednesday, September 21, 2011

Peter Jones will set off for Turin in an original British Mini from Bristol on Saturday 24th September in aid of Bowel Cancer UK.

The Deputy Lord Major will be there to see the team of four minis off from the Bristol City Council House, College Green Bristol at 10.30am. If you are in the area it would be great if you could go along and wave off Peter and the team !

The charity rally is the brainchild of Peter Jones, whose wife Debbie is currently undergoing chemotherapy after originally being diagnosed with bowel cancer last year.

"I don't think anyone can be prepared for that moment when they, or their partner are told they have cancer. I know that without the support of our family, friends and work colleagues, our lives would have been more difficult over the past 15 months."

Peter has long harboured the wish to drive a classic Mini, to Turin to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the "Italian Job".

Good Luck to Peter and the Team!
