NICE FAD on Cetuximab

Ian Beaumont, Director of Public Affairs, Bowel Cancer UK said:
"These treatments give patients hope, by offering them the chance
to live longer and with a better quality of life. Consequently,
this negative decision by NICE will be disappointing to bowel
cancer patients and those who care for them.
"NICE's decision will also do nothing to help reduce the gap in
bowel cancer survival between the UK and other European countries,
as highlighted in the recent OECD report. Fortunately though, the
Cancer Drugs Fund continues to enable many patients to gain access
to effective treatments turned down by NICE."
