Volunteer for us in Manchester
Monday, February 06, 2012
Bowel Cancer UK are currently looking at recruiting
volunteers in the Greater Manchester area to help raise awareness
of the disease.
If you are successsful you will also attend information stands
alongside the Greater Manchester Bowel Screening Team in a wide
variety of venues from shopping centres to local hospitals.
Caroline Pundyke, Health Promotion Officer for the North of
England says: ' Raising awareness of bowel cancer is vital, as if
caught early, it is highly treatable. Therefore educating people
about the symptoms is really important. This is a great opportunity
for volunteers to make a real difference to people's lives and gain
experience working with a health charity.'
The first day of training will be taking place on Thursday 23rd
February in central Manchester. If you would like to get involved
or have any questions then call us on 0207 381 9711 or email volunteer@bowelcanceruk.org.uk
