Post Operative

After your operation, you will stay in hospital for about seven to ten days. During your stay you will be seen by a stoma nurse/specialist bowel cancer nurse.

Further treatment will depend on the stage of your cancer. If you require further treatment, this may start eight weeks after your surgery. It is common to feel very tired when you get home, so please do not try to do too much too soon, as this will delay your recovery.
